500ml can from the local offy. A quid a pop! This is my X Factor night beer. It’s cheap, it’s easy to drink, and when I’ve had a few, it makes me shout at the telly. Only thing is, it’s Wednesday and the X Factor isn’t on tonight. I’ll just have to shout at Nigel Slater instead. It won’t be the same though..

Pale golden color, small white head. Grainy, cardboardish nose. Light-bodied. Sweetish maltyness, harsh grainy notes. Useless.

Gulbrun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Tørstedrikk som ikke utfordrer verken nese eller munn. Noe karamell og fruktsødme med hint av bitterhet i avslutningen.

Flaske fra supermercadoen i Elviria: litt sur, ufrisk aroma. Smaken er besk, og med en anelse av karamellmalt eller munchenermalt? Nok en skuffende spanjol, bra at mercadoen har noen brukbare tyske hveteøl jeg kan trøste meg med. Flaske fra Supersol, Torremolinos: klar mørk gylden med fint skum. Maltbasert smak med elegant bitterhet og litt syrlighet i ettersmaken. God denne gangen! Opp fra 2.1 til 2.8

Boks på altanen i herlig novembersol, Elviria: ekstrapoeng for flott skum som varer. Svært mild aroma og smak av malt tilsatt en humlekongle eller to. Ingen metallisk ettersmak, så derfor et ok alternativ til flaskevann.

33 cL clear bottle. Pours pale yellow, no head. Aroma is skunky, grassy and straw. Grassy, light bitter and straw to cornish. Bitter and dry finish.

Bottled 330ml. -from local shop in Madrid. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, almost neutral nose. Quite fizzy. Weak malty, corn and light cardboard with some notes of paper in the finish. Watery of course. Corona type San Miguel.

Bottle from a supermarket in Barcelona. Pours a clear light copper brown colour, with a slight peach blush to it. Minimal, soon dissipating, slightly off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt with a note of caramel. Sweet taste and finish. Light-medium body, average carbonation. Quite drinkable if a little too sweet.
