Canned(330ml). -Courtesy of and shared with Doggythedog (thanks!).
Yellow coloured, medium sized soapy white head that went away fast, remarkable watery nose. Weak malty, grainy and corn with touch of salt in the finish. Very watery even for San Miguel’s most exclusive beer...

Can courtesy of a friend who brought it from Spain (thanks Ivana!) Poured a yellow body with a small thick white head that went away at a medium pace. A remarkably empty aroma... hard water and some dust. And the taste was just as empty as I feared after smelling it. Quite watery, light beer, some grain and dust...popcorn? hm. Almost no hop, what little there is hard to discern. A typical watery run of the mill lager that might as well be made in Hungary.

Bottled(330ml). -Had this one several times in past few years. Pale golden coloured, small white head. Light malty, hoppy and bready with evident corn presence. Cheap and drinkable.

bottle, 1litre, 4.5% label says cerveza in red, definetly not the "especial" version. brewed in barcelona, bot in denmark. aroma : this rotten-cellar aroma we’ve gotten used to, when it’s san miguel. very, very light yellow, white head. flavor is mainly sweet from corn, and then some bitterness from whatever. bitterness is what keeps this from being a total disaster. good session beer, if it’s a long session. re-rate, can from spar supermarket in gran canaria. 5.4% brewed in barcelona acording to the can. clear yellow, smooth white head.Aroma is sweet notlikees of corn, grassy hoppy bitterness. flavor is bitter hoppy with a little bit of coal in it, also some slighlty sweet malts.. not that bad flavor for a macro. rating before 3,3,5,3,10 now 4,3,5,3,10

Bottle @ Argentine restaurant. Golden colour, white head. Aroma is a bit sweet, corn, hops. Flavour is soft, a bit sweet corn, bitter finish. A bit dry mouthfeel. OK stuff.

Bottled. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of cardboard and straw. The flavor has an artificial sweetness to it combined with notes of cardboard and straw, and the body is no woner thin.

Bottle 20 cl: ambar coloured with a lazy white head. Malty aroma. Good for alcoholic grade, not so good for the (after) taste, some watery... Any way the best San Miguel I’ve ever taste

Some of the other spanish low alc beers totally lack hoppiness. at least this one has a little. also the cereral is not as dominating as could be. okay refreshing. If you have to drive a car, you can grow fond of this one.

aroma started out sour, but fast evolved into a spicy flavor, which was intersting. flavor might well be a tiny bit more full than san miguel extra, but it is not at all as good as the reborn san miguel xv. i get a little sweet notes somewhere that are nice. they go away and in comes a rather nice bitterness.

can. was called san miguel XV selecta maduracion en boega 6.2% so not sure if this is the right place. It’s the only san miguel at that alc. pct. dissapointingly faint aroma, clear dark yellow. like whiskey, large white head. flavor is honey, hops, caramel, hints of sugar and dark fruit. refreshing and great hoppiness into the aftertaste. by far best san miguel i’ve tasted. 2008: 4,4,8,3,13 re-rate this time san miguel selecta, purchased in puerto de la cruz, tenerife. super clear amber, smooth large beige head. looks beautiful. nutty malty and very slightly toasted malty aroma, quite clean straight malty lager aroma, but quite refined and well rounded. 7 aroma. flavor is toasted malty, somewhat dry, a solid euro hoppy bitterness in the end that morphs into an almost roasted malty bitterness in the far end, they quite nailed the bitterness, flavor is smooth and rounded. palate is softer than expected. alc works well, perhaps only noticeable in the far bitter end where some alc bitterness is present. Tastes like more than 6.2%. Pretty good for a commercial industrial beer. rating is from this 2024 january rating
