About
After 700 years, the Aktienbrauerei is the last representative of the Kaufbeurer brewing tradition that started in 1308 under the name "Zur Goldenen Traube". The brewery has been owned by the Walch family since 1799. At its current location, the beer cellar was built in 1807, and the company was converted into a stock corporation in 1885. This made the Kaufbeuren stock brewery one of the first stock companies in Bavaria. In the second half of the 19th century, the brewery was the most important brewery in the city.

Smell of malt. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of grass, some malt. Clear flavours. Light body. Medium bitter. Flat carbon.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 25.11.2021 Aroma has sweet corn and grainy malt. Flavour has mellow grassy hops and grainy malt. Finishes with honeyish sweetness amd mild menthol tones. Solid and clean pils, perhaps a bit on the sweet side.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 25.11.2021, from Alko, 20210130) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, malts and lightly molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, grass, molasses and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A decent malty brew with grassy notes.

ABK Hell - Das Blaue, Flasche aus Tausch mit Pivnizub - Dank an Günther. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase feines helles Malz, Weißbrot, ein Hauch von Vanille, sehr milde Kräuter. - Antrunk sauber aber aromatisch neutral hellmalzig mit feinsten Anklängen an Butterkeks und Vanillezucker. Sehr milde kräuterige Hopfung. Milder rezent, glatt. Im Abgang Butter, ein Minimum an Herbe. - Sehr mildes, rundes Helles, das es irgendwie fertigbringt, trotz völliger Abwesenheit kräftiger Aromen noch trinkbar zu sein. Auch eine Leistung. 50cl bottle. Poured dark brown in color. Bready malts, some caramel. Quite sweet overalla, light bodied. Clean per se, but too sweet to be that enjoyable.

Refreshing and crisp, with a bit of bite. Pours a clear deep straw colour, with a bubbly white head, and a sweet malt aroma, with some grassy hops and a hint of fruit. There’s a bite to the mouthfeel to kick things off, which is significantly carbonated, but mellows out, yielding a crisp, sweet malt and floral hop flavour and a lasting dry, bitter finish

50 cl bottle. Golden, clear, white foam. Aroma: good hops, floral-spicy-herbaceous profile + light malt cookies. Taste: pislner malt with good German hops, medium bitter, not bad.

Bottle 50 cl. Cloudy dark yellow with a good white foam. Aroma: wheat with sourness, a little spicy, a little banana, light sweetness. Taste: wheat with sourness, cloves, banana, I expected something more.

Completely clear straw coloured, small white head. Smells lemony. Very light, definitely lemony, a bit sweet but not as much as Dutch ones, really refreshing. Does what it needs to. For a regular radler a very solid one, excellent soda for hot summer days
