Bottle during RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting at Schlafly Tap Room. Aromas of wine, tart notes, oak, funk. Tastes of wine, oak, tart notes, fruit, Brett. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice.

Growler during RBSG 2014 at Schlafly Bottleworks brunch. Dark brown with off-white head. Aromas of rum, bourbon, dark fruit, caramel, toffee. Tastes of rum, bourbon, caramel, dark fruit booze. Medium body with a dry and warm finish.

At RBSG Grand Tasting in St. Louis. Pours cloudy yellow white head. Nose/taste of sour fruit, paw, lemon, white wine and oak. Mild acidity. Medium body.

RBSG brunch. Pours dark brown off white head. Nose/taste of rum, bourbon, oak, plum, coconut and chocolate. Medium body.

Growler as revelation stout. Pours dark brown with white head. Nose/taste of coffee, burnt toast and roast chocolate. Medium body.

Sampled from the growler at RBSG 2014. Pours a hazy deep amber with a brown hue and no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of bourbon with some sweets grains a touch of sweet chocolate and toffee. Flavor ha lots of toffee and sweet grains with some bourbon and a bit of sweet chocolate.

Growler - Buttery caramel and oak. Cloudy brown with a thin brown head. Oaky, light hop bitterness and a tons of caramel and toffee. Finish brings back the hoppy bitterness.

Pour is a murky brown with no head at all. Aroma is molasses at first, then comes a bit of brown sugar and fruit. Flavor is thick molasses an toffee malts with some dark fruit and wee bit of vanilla. No real hop presence but it does have a nice warming alcohol. Not over the top but just there to fight off any chill. Pretty good BW.
