Sample at Pint Room. The beer is a brown-black color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of smoked malt, fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of burnt malt, earthy hops and a bit of fruit. The finish is mildly smokey with a roast malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at Grandview Digfest on 06/13/2015: Pours a cloudy brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of berries, yeast and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of blueberries, caramel malt and herbal yeast. The finish is berries, ginger and yeast. Decent overall.

On draught at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of fruity hops, pine and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a short piney hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
