Brouwerij Slaapmutske owns 1 brewery:
Description
Dany De Smet, a brewery engineer, and his wife Dany De Smet, a brewery engineer, started brewing beer "in the kitchen" in very small quantities (about 50 liters per brew). In 1999 the couple decided to start a beerfirm so in 2000 Slaapmutske was founded. In order to meet the ever-increasing demand, we decide to work together with the Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi to brew the beer there under license.

330 ml bottle. Golden brown body with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet candy sugar, caramel and a bit spicy. Flavor is rather sweet, candy sugar, dry fruit, malt and spicy. It’s quite nice, not exactly complex but flavorful.

Draught Fading, very dense white head over hazy yellow beer with a greenish shine. Very little nose, not even hoppy, just a touch of... garden herbs? Extremely hop-tuned beer, refreshing with an underbuild of malts, if quite neutral ones. Appreciately light bodied; quite carbonated, but too cold on dispense: - 1 point. Nice lager, a good one to search for.

33 cL bottle. Pours golden orange with a dense light off-white head. Mild sweet caramel, wineous and light fruity aroma. Flavour is light spiced and dominant caramel malt flavour. Very subtle and smooth yeast flavour. Nice lingering sweet finish with more of that nicely balanced yeast spice flavour. Lovely.

On tap at Max’s Taphouse in Baltimore during their Belgian fest. Hazy straw yellow with a white head that faded fast. Funky, yeasty aroma with a slight citrus backing. Flavor is all funk and yeast with a touch of candy. Slightly sticky on the finish. This beer is quintessentially Belgian, but I could have used a little less funk and maybe a little more malt.

Bottled. Hazy deep golden colour, huge creamy slightly off-white head. Aroma is hops, bread, some spices, caramel and also some slight metallic notes. Flavour is really spicy, quite hoppy and fruity as well as a bunch of licorice. Alcohol is showing itself a little bit by a stinging touch. Hasn’t really got any aftertaste at all.
