Description
David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Bottle. Black pour with a small tan head that diminishes. The aroma is on the lighter side with cocoa, vanilla, and red fruits. The taste is dark chocolate, cherries, vanilla and some raisins. The palate is thick and sweet. Finishes long and somewhat cloying. Overall: decent, but too sweet for me.

Mooch sample, courtesy of Sergey, 2020, release 3, SLC 7273; 11.5% ABV
Black colour. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. There is booze and cacao, roastiness (coffee? malt? almonds?), so this would require some massive sweetness, that is not there, resulting in a beer that is thinner than desired; and in this case the salt makes things a bit worse. Burning finish.
It's ok, but not anything that I would look for.

Tasting at Salesforce, 13.1% ABV, rel.3, 2021
Black colour, the brown head disappears quickly. Mild notes of roasted nuts and bourbon. Good body strength, dark chocolate and roasted malt flavour, bourbon, gentle booze.
Very good.

22oz @ Sales Force. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: bourbon barrel, sweetness, light smoke. Taste: lots of charred barrels, moderately sweet, fruity. Overall: good body, but I don't like that it's overwhelmed by the charred barrel character.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon barrels, moderate roasted malt, and light vanilla. Flavour is chocolatey and bourbony, with boozy bourbon, some dark cocoa, and a touch of vanilla. Chocolatey, bourbon-y, pleasantly boozy. Excellent stripped down version of BBB.

US Pint can (say's it's brewed in Denver), drank during the Super Bowl while in California (at my daughters) on 13th February 2022. Black bodied, no head worthy of the name, so it was bald really. Chocolate more than Peanut Butter for me, pretty sweet too.
