David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Thanks Tom amd Chris. Aroma is light barrel, cacao, coffee. Taste is smooth, no alcohol present. Coffee, light rum, and cacao all blended nicely. A tad thin but still nice.

22oz @ Farees'. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, cherries, some weird notes. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: one of the worst BBB I've ver had.

Jet black with a small beige brown head. Lots of chocolate. Dark chocolate and light cherry. Maybe on cherry on the taste but really note there. Meh.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals light cherries and some dusty cocoa -- not getting the coconut or the barrels. Flavour is more full on, with plenty of bourbon barrel character and indeed black forest cake -- there's cherries, cocoa, and a touch of coffee. It's a bit earthy and muddled for BBB. The barrel character is pleasant, but this is a bit underwhelming for the series. Still, good overall.

Dark brown. There is a little bit of chocolate malt. Thin...I mean on the palate it's really thin. Maybe cocoa. So I'm thinking this needs something. It's really coming across without the major elements. This isn't hitting for me.

22oz @ Farees'. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: ashy, coffee, some weird farty notes. Taste: moderately sweet, lots of coffee, whiskey barrels with some spice notes coming from Rye barrels. Overall: pretty good, but it's not that good as others.

Dark brown. The aroma is a bit nutty, has a subtle barrel note, maybe some sweet chocolate. Comes across a bit light for its size, and maybe a touch of chocolate, and a little bit of rye. Still seems to come across as a bit light, a miss.
