On tap at Forbidden, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crunchy vegetal notes, not much else. Flavour is crunchy and herbal, with light grass, and biscuity malt. A bit too vegetal, but it's okay.

On tap at Forbidden, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh grass upfront, with straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is grassy and herbal, with biscuity malt, straw and some vegetal, herbal notes. A bit crunchy but it works okay.

On tap at the brewery. Medium gold body and little foam, very faint sweet hops on the nose. Flavour is faint hops and no grains, some sugar. Wet and thin. Almost like they took their pale ale and added water. Reminds me of some low end diner tactics on the north island...

On tap at the brewery. Has a soft sweet grain aroma, clear medium yellow body and modest white head. Flavour is armpit-y hops and vague grains buried in a watery mouthfeel. No idea what's going on here but it isn't good.

On tap at the brewery. Smells of sweet chocolate syrup with barley thrown in. Has a nice dark brown body and some beige head. Flavour is sweet and syrupy brown sugar with a boozy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is kind of cloying. This one's a miss, they can do dark ales but not in this fashion.

On tap at the brewery. Sweet chewing gum aroma. Hazy orange body and modest white head. Flavour is mellow sweet grains with soft candy notes. Full enough on the mouth but no crispness. This totally misses the mark for a hazy IPA, no idea what's going on here.

On tap at the brewery. Murky brown body with ruby notes and modest beige head. Nice bright sweet hoppy barley on the nose. Flavour is more of the same. Medium finish and a bit wet. This is a standout from their slough, nice to see one worth remembering.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy yellow as advertises with minimal head. Very soft sweet hop aroma, too soft. Flavour is mellow hops with vague grain hints. Wet but full on the mouth. Kind of missing the mark for this style, missing the sweetness and bitterness in the equation.
