Pours a very slight hazy amber colour with a light beige head that stays quite long and is creamy, just like the lacing. Sweet aromas with lots of apricots. Eventually, caramel malts appear. The taste is fruity, but hop seems to take over in the middle, right over the caramel notes. Interesting fruity beer with the most hops I can remember.

First pumpkin beer of the season is an award winner (2015 Gold Ontario Brewing Awards) from Black Creek brewing in Toronto. 5% for a beautiful Amber with minimal foam. It's got a really nice spice aroma with cinnamon, nutmeg and coriander plus rich malt/pumpkin. Medium bodied and dry with good sweetness like yams, caramel, nutmeg and a rich spiciness. Really good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An orange amber ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light lemon pledge, unpleasant. In mouth, a sweet diluted malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light oxidation , boring and tired. Bottle from LCBO.

Bottle, pours a deep dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Flavour is along the same lines, with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, with a little toffee in there. Pretty boring, but competently done I suppose. Just not exciting.

Tasting at Matt’s
Brown color, small head. Some aroma of spices, alcohol, cookies. Dry mouthfeel, thin body, very shallow flavor, and some spices.
Not very good.

This ale poured a cloudy dark amber colour with a minimal soapy tan head. Scents include ripe fruit, fig, molasses and sweet. First swig had nice carbonation and a thicker, sweeter mouthful. Flavors of ripe fruit, a little spice and rum are most prominent. Finish is warming with a spicy rum flavor lingering.
