Founded in 2012, Cloud 9 Brewery is a nanopub concept featuring locally sourced and organic components in both the brewery and restaurant.
With an emphasis on creative brewing, Cloud 9 is situated in a unique place in the market. Instead of having the exact same line-up from month to month, the beers on-tap at Cloud 9 change as soon as the last drop from the previous batch has been poured. With so many taps, and only 6 year-round beers, the variety is truly amazing.
Cloud 9 also features a unique feedback process by which we judge what beer-drinkers actually think. We collate and analyze the input and use that to shape the direction of the next batch. In this way the community is involved in the brewing process from concept to the final foamy pint.
A commitment to quality, service and genuine interest in our community make Cloud 9 Brewery the place for beer aficionados, foodies, and everyone who enjoys fresh and unique culinary creations.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy golden, small skin of head. Not your typical Scottish. Light malty, grainy aroma. Taste follows with a hint if earthy, grassy meadow notes. Not a sign of the normal peaty, tobacco flavors . More like a regular ale) lager. Jury's out on this one.

Draft at brewery. Clear amber, small spotty head. Light, toasty, malty aroma. Malts come up bigger in the taste, not bitter, not sweet. Right where it needs to be, on point for the style. Rare style too...

On tap at the Boise BP. Hazy golden with a thin spotty white head light malt and some homey sweetness . Quite light bodied and low hop bitterness.

Draft at Cloud 9. Dark brown, black, small skin of tan head. Weak aroma of roast grains. Taste brings the tea in more fully, earthy, dry. Then nothing...finishes with a whimper.

On tap at the brewery pours out black topped with a tan ring of a head. Nose is light ash some dark chocolate. Taste is more of the ash notes coal some light chocolate and a touch of chalk.

On tap at the brewery pours out a pale copper color topped with a white head. Nose is sweet malts some grass pine hops. Taste is more of the grassy pine odd hops and a sweet caramel malt.

Draft at brewery. This would have made a good golden/blonde. Medium golden, small frothy head. Barely noticeable grain aroma, white bread. Taste is light and sweet, no bite. Smooth, no finish. Realistically, probably not a pils.

Draft at the brewery. Light, bright copper color, small foamy head. Light pumpkin aroma, malts. Not heavy on the spice at all, pumpkin flavors clear and up front. Falls off a bit though, leans towards watery at the finish
