First pour from the keg that went on at Harry’s Hofbrua. Man....Rodger has flippin’ nailed another one!!! Insane juicy, citrus hop aroma. Hazy orange with a full white head that was slightly limited in duration. Taste is like squeezing and orange and other citrus hops into a glass, with a moderate biscuit malt support. I could drink this all day long.

Sample at The Bistro DIPA-Festival, February 8. Hazy golden with a white head. A bit on the sweet side with pineapple, citrus, orange and some malt to balance it. Fairly dry and hoppy finish. A solid one.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber with a white head. Cat pee aroma. Med + body. Lots of citrus, but the hop burn is mild. Very tasy citrus fruit finish. Excellent.

Taster@Faction. This was my first Faction beer. As soon as the aroma touched my nose I thought I was in Alpine. Cool. Pours clear amber with a medium creamy off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit light but it is that Alpine-esque perfect marriage of pine needles, grapefruit, and passionfruit that I love. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, again very Pure-Hoppiness like but a bit harsher on the finish. Medium body, very creamy mouthfeel. Nice beer.

Taster@Faction. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly with good residual lacing. Aroma is fairly light, but hits all the high notes with citrus, dankness, pine, forest floor and a healthy dose of pot. Light plus sweet with some malt backbone shining through, quite bitter, spruce and a bit of mango, wet leaves and pot still apparent. Full body, super creamy in the mouth. Low carbonation, which somehow does not detract from this gem.

Taster@Faction. Pours clear golden with a very small white head that dissipates quickly with some residual lacing. Aroma is light, but wonderful with exotic notes of passionfruit, pine, citrus, dank goodness. Smells a hellova lot like Alpine Nelson. Lightly sweet and lightly bitter with a bit of cat piss in a good way. Body is light and perhaps a bit watery, but this is a lovely APA.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Massive grapefruit nose. Pours a moderate hazy orange with full white head that laces. Taste is large grapefruit and citrus with moderate pine. A nice sweet malt backing at the end rounds it out nicely. Not too sweet for a triple. Restrained bitterness helps the flavor of the hops be the star.
