On tap at Paducah Beer Werks, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, some stale notes and a touch of toffee. Flavour is rather flat, dry light earthy notes, toasted bread and a hint of caramel. Nothing offensive, but it's lacking character and body. Decent.

Draft. Deep brown body with a thin, tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, soft carbonation. Excessive bitterness steps all over any chance of other flavors to show themselves. Light nail polish remover taste in the finish.

This didn’t come in the sampler, so I had a full pour. Definitely best beer at the brewery. Thick sweeter porter covering some of the alcohol. Present alcohol a bit toffee. Medium body. Sweet alcohol finish. Not achingly sweet. A nice balance of sweet enough to cover up the strong barrel alcohol.

Everything here is a bit sweet. That works for Irish Red with some earthy, muddy maltiness. Low hops. Light caramel and a sweet candy finish. Sweet but fun.
