Description
MiddleCoast Brewing Company, formerly named Monkey Fist Brewing Company, is a group of friends who have become family. We brew a portfolio of hand crafted brands that are designed to bring out the beer lover in all of us. Located in beautiful downtown Traverse City, Michigan, we celebrate the culture and climate of the Great Lakes and northern Michigan. We are on our great country's middle coast and we are happy to be here. Pint can from Bella's Sault St. Marie, 7/4/21. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of ginger and lemon. Taste is ginger, orange, lemon, pale malt. Pretty serious spiciness from the ginger. Tasty.

Deep chestnut-brown body, translucent around the edges; thin tan head. Nose dry, with cocoa powder, toasted nuts, and boozy warmth. Body rather dry with a huge macadamia presence, backed by substantial cocoa, coffee, roast, and toasted sugars. Pleasantly warming.

Dark brown medium beige head. Sweet and toasty with caramel, tons of not and some golden fruit. Long finish. Smooth body.

Imagine owing a brewery and are knowingly shipping out an IPA that's fifteen months old?! Canned August, 9th, 2019. Malty and oxidized. Utter disgrace.

Pint can from Tadych's Iron Mountain, 10/23/20. Dark brown, large foamy tan head good retention. Aroma of coffee, carob, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, roast, carob. Thin, meh.

Cherry, coriander, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Slightly hazy golden yellow with large light tan head. Lightly sweet cherry, coriander, wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body.

Can. Amberbeerwith a cream head. Grapefruit and light malt aroma. Malt and grapefruit flavor with light spice. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Malt and grapefruit linger.

16oz can from Halftime. Almost 8 months old. Orange golden body, fizzy head. Oranges and tangerines, caramel in the aroma. Initial burst of citrus peel followed by sweet caramel malts. Still drinkable, but i bet this was a lot better fresh.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour with a fine beige head. Roasty aroma with coffee accents. Coffe figures to be a bit more prominent in the taste, backed up by some light roasty bitterness and chocolate accents.
