tap at Ft Wayne Oktobeerfest 2013 - This brew has an off-white head with lacing. It has a good grapefruit hop character in the aroma and flavor and is well balanced with tasty malts, a medium body, and lingering bitterness.

tap at Ft Wayne Oktobeerfest 2013 - Pours near black with a lingering tan head. It has the expected roast malt aroma. It’s medium bodied with roasted chocolate malt that to me tastes a bit off. It’s okay.

Cask. Deep brown body. Tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of roasted malts and lightly bitter chocolate. Some raw graininess.

Cask. Deep amber body. Fizzy, off-white head. Aroma of whiskey, toasted and raw grain, wood, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, moderate carbonation. Whiskey and wood taste along with husky grain. Clunky and gritty in the mouth.

Draft sample @ Ft. Wayne Oktobeerfest. Light earthy fruity caramel malt aroma. Hazy light amber with a large off-white head. Earthy herbal hops, fruity caramel malt flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.
