Tap at brewery. Sweet caramel malt, ligth citrusy hop, earthy berry aroma. Clear copper with a small off-white head. Caramel malt, vegetal, and bitter herbal hops flavor. Medium body. Well done amber.

Tap at brewery. Mild earthy malt aroma. Clear chestnut with a moderate creamy tan head, creamy lacing. Smooth earthy caramel malt flavor. Medium creamy body, low carbonation. Nice easy drinking malty beer, but not what I typically expect from a scottish ale. I was expecting something with a far more robust flavor, and this reminded me more of an ESB.

Hand pulled, tasted side by side with the regular Big Pit. Chocolate coffee malt and light herbal hops aroma, more subdued than the regular Bit Pit. Black brown with a small tan head, light lacing. Coffee malt and herbal hops flavor. The chocolate flavor in the regular Big Pit didn’t come through in this version. Medium body. This was good, but I preferred the regular version over this one.

Hand pulled draft. Coffee-chocolate malt and light grassy hops - more subdued than the regular BPP. Black-brown with moderate head. Sweet lactic chocolate-coffee malt and moderately bitter earthy hops flavor. Nice blend.
