tap at the brewpub, listed as Mindtrap IPA3. Have there been different formulations of this beer made? There are two Mindtrap entries here on ratebeer and checking elsewhere I see references to "IPA2" and "IPA3". ABV for mine was 8% with the original Mindtrap entry on RB listed as 10.2%. Confusing. Hazy deep copper pour with a small head. Aroma is mainly citrus hops with a little malt in the background. The flavor is big on citrus hops and caramel malt, and there's a bitter finish. It's pretty good but for me there's something missing for a style I usually love.

tap at the brewpub - First the brewpub is not calling this a black ipa as far as I can tell. Commercial description is the same as above but with "This is our black ale". Maybe it changed at some point. However it's not a lager and 46 ibu (doesn't taste that high but that's what they say it is) is fairly high, so I'm not sure what else fits. Anyway... on with the rating. Near black pour with an aroma that's mostly chocolate malt. The flavor is sweet and somewhat roasty with chocolate and some mild hops bitterness. Medium bodied.

tap at the brewpub - Very hazy copper pour with a small head. The aroma is led by piney hops with some malt in the background. The moderately bitter flavor has notes of pine, tropical fruit, and caramel. Medium bodied. Very good.

nitro tap - The current brewery website listing matches the Ratebeer entry with 4.5% abv and 35 IBUs. However when I had it the menu listed it as 7.24% and 43 IBUs. Anyway, it pours near black with a lingering tan head and lots of lacing. It has a mild, roasted malt aroma. The flavor is of roast malt, chocolate, and some good hops bitterness. There’s a lingering pleasantly bitter roast flavor. The peanut butter is barely noticeable. There’s just maybe a little nuttiness to it. It’s a little thin for a stout but good.

tap - The menu and Trubble’s website put the abv at 6.4% but they’re still calling it a "session IPA", which is odd. But anyway, it pours hazy copper with a lingering off-white head. The aroma is mainly of citrus and hops. The flavor features good strong bitterness with nice citrus notes and a long, bitter finish. It’s pretty good. I could do with a little more body to it.

tap - Pours light amber and has an aroma of, well, a little caramel malt maybe. There’s very little aroma. The flavor is of caramel malt and moderately bitter hops. It’s smooth and easy drinking with a medium body and a lingering bitter finish. I’d say the bitterness is pretty high for an ESB, but it’s good.
