Bottle. Orange juice, biscuit malt, and light orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange, light malt, and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Light body. Okay but pretty boring.

Great amber/cola coloured body with a dense tan head. Aroma of good english hops, still strong, a good maltiness and a pleasant caramel scent. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong hops up front with lower a.a., then showing some malts then fading to a caramel and toffee flavour, just as a bitter usually does. Aftertaste is a bit more mild, not showing too many hops at all. Overall, a decent beer-about an average bitter. This bottle is about 16 months old, and still shows a good hop character, so I can imagine this one being even better fresh! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Liquor Mart in Boulder, Colorado in August 2003, on 29-November-2004.

Standard fare across the board. Buttered popcorn hops aroma develops from the light amber body. Earthy, buttery hops flavor. Nothing interesting in the malt front. Standard APA fare, not worthy of seeking out.

Nice, warming sweet caramel nutty aroma. Dark ruby-amber color. Earthy flavor - nice balanced bitterness. A bit sour, maybe a light smokiness.

Beerfest notes: Chocolatey and dry. Very smooth. Rich and in the end pretty tasty stuff. Controlled tasting notes: Dark almost black color, with red tint and tan head. Very rich and thick. Strong roasted aroma and flavor, and notably sweet. A bit tannic and ultimately a little over the top.

Not red really, but copper colored. Short head and lacing. Clean nose - not fruity in the least. Earthy flavor and aroma from the hops. Slightly herbal too. The malt flavors are a little weird: sweet, bubblegummy, candyish (not not extremely so). Somewhat like an altbier.

Quite malty, but hoppy too. Aroma is clearly citric hop, but the flavor is malty and has plenty of residual sweetness. Interesting.

Very caramelly/malty - nice smooth palate with almost herbal hops. Good amber color.
