tap at Brewhaven festival - I entered this one as an imperial IPA because that’s what the brewer’s name for the beer indicates. However I didn’t think it was anyways near bitter enough for that designation. It was a beer festival though so perhaps my palate was off from other samples? Anyway, it pours very hazy orange with no head. There’s a mild aroma of citrus and wheat. The flavor is sweet and fruity with light hops and a mildly bitter finish. It’s fairly good but a double IPA?

On draught at The Heorot. Pours black with a medium khaki head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of charred malt and dark chocolate. Medium to full body with a smoked malt character and notes of roasted coffee and earthy hops. The finish is smoky with a burnt coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.
