Backlog March 2009 (2006 vintage). Unclear orange body under a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and citric fruits. Taste has sweet malt, caramel and fruity hops, decent bitterness. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice one.

Can. Bready malt aroma with notes of caramel, toffee, floral and grassy hops. Pours amber-golden colored with a half a finger of off white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with caramel, bread and grassy hop flavors. Finishes smooth and crisp with toffee and floral hop flavors. Good winter lager.

Bought locally, canned December 31st 2025.
It pours a hazy orange, small head of foam, retention is okay, lacing is not.
Smell is orange peel, citrus, earthy, not too inviting.
The taste is orange peel, dank, earthy, citrus. It's less than 3 months old and it tastes older. Did not hold up well.
Okay mouthfeel, I would not bother drinking this again. Sorry Avery.

Earthy pumpkin and the rum adds a nice sweetness. Quite warming and boozy. This 2016 bottle is well past its prime I think.

Bottle, ginormous thanks Brandt. 2007 vintage!!! Enormous aroma, huge dry brown sugar aroma, dusty raisins... Hah! Caramelly and brown sugar taste, very well integrated aroma, heaps of bitterness though, oxidation evident, some candied orange is the mre somewhere... Oooh, for something almost 20 years of age, this is nice! (That's what he said hurr hurr hurr.)

2016, huge thanks Brandt for sharing with us! Clearish shiny amber body, off-white head. Caramel, low vanilla and heaps, HEAPS of dried figs, with a remarkable amount of spearmint. Lean, dry, fresh taste, lemon and spearmint, very dried out, not much barrel, but this was nice, bit funky. And still holding up nicely!

Bottle, 2014 vintage. Pumpkin spice aroma of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and allspice as well as having notes of vanilla, caramel, pumpkin, oak, bourbon and booze. Pours deep brown with a thin tan head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with with caramel, pumpkin, oak and vanilla flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with the flavors of the aforementioned pumpkin spices, bourbon and a fairly heavy amount of warming booze. Great pre-thanksgiving beer.

12oz can from Pilgrim's Market. Deep golden pour, creamy, tight white head. Aroma is equal parts caramel malts and citrusy/pine hops. Taste is rich toffee, juicy hops. An old school DIP for sure that still holds up.
