Found at Jungle Jim's in Fairfield, OH. Avery's brews have all been pretty good so far and this is no exception. This is a pretty good seasonal ale to boot. Pours a pretty amber color with a medium thin beige head. Spicey aroma of connamon and hops. The flavor was a mixture of malts, brown sugar, cinnamon etc and was surprisingly rich. Good stuff!

Dark golden color with a medium thick milky-white head. Nice effervescence. Alternating fruity and hoppy aroma. Nice tart flavor of herbs and spices and hops. Surprisingly easy to drink as well. $6 a bottle around here but this was actually worth it.

Hoo-yeah! I am really liking these higher-ABV beers now that they are available in Ohio. The aroma floodgates were opened from the minute I cracked this one open! Strong hops with barley malt in the background. Very pretty amber hue with a medium beige head and some lacing. Very malty flavor with some caramel. Dry, hoppy finish with alcohol notes. Very good beer that left me with a pleasant buzz.

Perfect true amber color, with a medium thick creamy beige head, excellent retention and heavy lacing. Strong hop aroma: pine resins and maybe a little citrus. Extraordinarily creamy palate and unbelievably well balanced. Full rich sweet caramel malt circled by tingly resiny and spicy hop flavors. Finish is strongly bitter but not unbalanced at all. Both malt and hops lingering in the mouth. One of the smoothest and most drinkable barleywines I’ve encountered.

Intense grapefruit and pine hop aromas and flavors. Malt is balanced and clean, with a med bitter finish. Gold-copper color with short head, fairly quickly dissipated but great lacing all through the glass. Overall, highly similar to Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale - but not identical.

Nice lemon-grass hop aroma, with some resiny tones. Hazy copper color with large creamy stiff head, lasts forever. Solid foamy lacing. Flavor dominated by citric and resiny hop flavors. Solid bitterness in the finish. Malt is on the low end, but not unbalanced. Mostly clean light malt flavors are present, very little in the way of caramel malt flavors.

Reddish brown, hazy. Big grapefruit aroma. Bitter. A very tasty typical American veriosn of barley wine.
