Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

75cl bottle. Looks really good. Beer in the glass golden-orange, small head. Aroma intense like ouzo. Strange for a beer. Starts strong, some alcoholic hints, again intense notes of ouzo, herbs, modest sweet, bitter background. Tastes somehow like medicine. Not very drinkable. Strange beer.

1l-bottle at home. The bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Aroma a bit moldy. Starts mild, malty, grasy-moldy, modest sweet. Light dry background. Finish still mild, boring malty, still a bit moldy. Exspected more from that festbier.

Bottled@AIH40 (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is bready, some mild rubbery notes as well as some earth and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is rubber, mild herbs and some mild earth and quite bready malts. Not the most interesting of beers.

Clear golden color, small white head. Herbal woody hoppyness in the nose, some sweet fruity notes. Light to medium bodied. Sweetish fruity-malty with hints of banana and herbal hoppyness. Somewhat typical Oktoberfestbier.

Klares dunkel goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlicher weißer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht fruchtig malzig, leicht würzig. Geschmack sehr malzig, getreidig, leicht fruchtig, zu schwach für ein Bock!

(bottle) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, banana-fruity and wheat-malty aroma with dusty clovy notes. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a mildly spritzy carbonation. Wheaty and banana-laden taste; dry-ish fruity and wheaty finish with a bearable amount of clovy notes. Drinkable but also mediocre Weizen. 27.X.14

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, sweet malts and some grassy and herbal notes. Flavour is sweet malts, floral notes, grass and once it gets varm it gets very sweet malty, and loses the kind of "bland wateriness" it has when colder. Clean taste, both cold and warm, even though quite different.

Milder typisch-Heller-Bock Antrunk.
