Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

Bottle. A clear, golden one, minimal white head on top. The aroma is lightly grainy, with some fruityness and grassy hops. Medium body, dry, and a bit hard on the carbonation. The flavor has pale malts in the back, with a nice bitterness, some fruityness, and in the end there’s some metallic notes blending in with the bitterness. A quite nice one, but nothing extraordinary going on. 120217

Bottle, from trade with fonefan. A finger-thick off-white head forms over a clear, golden body. Malty, light fruity nose with a solid dose of caramel. Some light hoppyness in the background. The flavor has a distinct bitterness all the way, not unpleasant, with grassy, spiced flavors joining in. Caramel maltyness too. A rather boring pale bock but it’s far from undrinkable. 120211
