Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a blond and tall foamy head. Slightly grainy and yeasty pale malty aroma with notes of dough and traces of citrus. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Slightly doughy and grainy malty taste with hoppy and yeasty bitter notes towards the finish. Plain and simple. 13.VII.11

Bottle: Pale golden to golden, hazy, big stable fluffy white head; moderate fruity-pale malty nose with a light hoppy touch; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft, light to medium bodied; slightly increasing hoppiness in the short and mild bitter-sweet finish. Good....

Bottled 500ml. -from Bier Imperium, Vienna. Brown/black coloured, medium sized tan head, sweet sticky nose. Slight roasty and very sweet malty, sugary and caramel with faint coffee notes. One-dimensional, and of course a way too sweet.

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado who found it in Austria and shared with me (thanks!)Standing next to the others, with its fancy design and foil cover, this one drew high expectations from us. High until we read the description. Beer specialty with sweeteners. Just lovely. The body is nicely dark brown-red, the head off white going tan. Sweet malty grainy honeyish nose, bit too sweet. And the taste is even worse. Slightly malty, a bit grainy, random roasty notes, but damn dull and nearly useless.

Bottle. Pale golden, white lace. Low grainy nose. Dialed down Helles, barest of malt profile with just the neccesary amount of hops. Medium to light body, mellow mouthfeel. So inoffensive it hurts.

Bottle. Amber, offwhite cream. Spicy, light hopflowery aroma. Peppery entry, light caramel, underlying sticky sweet, good aromatic and bitter hop balance cuts the sweetness. Medium chewy, light sticky mouthfeel. Stawberries retronasal. Grows on me, has e few weird edges to it but works in the sum.

11/11/11/12/8/11
