Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

Bottle, 5.0%. Hazy yellow colour. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour has some yeast, not surprisingly. Mild, but flavourful. Low to medium bitterness. Pleasant.

Bottled (BB 01/2010, alc. 3.8%). Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Deep dark ruby color, medium-sized beige head. Caramelly, slightly papery aroma. Very sweet, caramelly flavor, hints of milk chocolate. Sweetness is a bit artifical. Light grassy hops. Feels very low alco (as it is), table beer feeling. Close to artifical Baltic kvasses.

Bottled. A golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, caramel, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of metal, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Bottle, 5.3%. Almost clear bright orange colour. Small semi-stable white head. The flavour is quite malty, a bit sweeter than a pale beer. The hop flavour is mild with a little hay and spice. Well-balanced. Not really a winter beer in my book, but not a summer beer either. Still two seasons left to drink it, then.
