Fir tips adds an interesting element to this porter. I'm usually not super down with gimmicks, but I think this works. Roast and coffee.

Light and watery, like the bartender sold it as, haha. Some roast, nut. Decent for style. Black pour with thick carpet of head, good lacing. Light bitter finish with some nutty tang in aftertaste. Tap at brewery.

Aroma more like a pilsner than a pale. Crisp hops and good malt complex. Golden pour with ok head. Crisp finish. Tap at brewery.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a dense, three to four centimetre tall pure white head that's microfoamed and fades slowly, but leaves a subtle lace on the sides. Aroma of bright spontaneously fermented yeast with a lot of grass, hay, flowers and a bunch of stone fruits - very nice and super elegant. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavours dominate with a pungent spontaneously fermented, slightly soured and bretty yeast note with a great bite of fresh-cut grass and flowers - very nice. Aftertaste shows some sweetness with light fruits and a dose of grassy notes along with a herbal bite showing some lemon zest and a hit of curacao. Overall, a very nice beer with a nice spontaneously fermented, slightly bretty bite with some dry herbal and grassy notes, but very elegant throughout, while being fairly easy-drinking, but full of flavour. Great to sample and well worth trying to find if you are out here on the West Coast! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Portland (Pearl), Oregon on 27-March-2021 for US$5,99 sampled in my hotel room here in the centre of Portland on 21-March-2021 with my family.
