16 oz. can. Pours black, with a medium, rocky, brown head. The nose is dark chocolate, maple syrup, cashews, butter toffee, and vanilla. Sweet and sugary, with a touch of booze. Thick and chewy, with a nice biting finish. Decadent and cloying, but thoroughly enjoyable.

Brewery draught, 5/19/22. Pale, brassy, honey-maize. Small, white head to ring quickly. Mod-heavily hazy. Bright, spicy-dank galaxy with light lime, low pine, no sharpness or alcohol. Sparse cracker malts, clean, lightly juicy citrus. Juicy, dank, softly-malted with drying cracker finish. Pineapple, lime, light guava and a healthy brace of bitterness. Lingering pithy, spicy hops stick to the palate. Clean, dry, great.

Brewery draught, 5/19/22. Moderately hazy, brassy-maize. Small but thick, white head, moderate retention. Hell of a nose; fresh, juicy, tropical and mineral-laden hops with sparse malts and clean yeast. No alcohol or flaw or resin. Soft, juicy, a bit of grain, with chewy, wheat/oat like textures and tons of guava-passion fruit and white wine. Thins/dries out heavily on the end but the bitterness remains low so it's not a big deal. Lingering guava-meyer lemon.

Can - viscous black pour with a well-sustained tan head - I really appreciate the balance they went for (and achieved) here - a stout this strong with honey and maple could easily become goopy and cloying - the maple and honey are present but understated - honey adds a nice earthy complexity - creamy texture - full body - chocolate, espresso, vanilla, maple - a light acidity and black malt bitterness on the tail end, with some mild caramelized sugars - I dig this beer - if only it weren’t 5 bucks a can.
