Can. Pale yellow colour. Weak aroma. Light neutral taste. Cheap and works when you are thirsty. Not one of the better beers out there.

500ml can bought at Systembolaget, Kiruna in Swedish Lapland. Clear, yellow-golden body topped by a fast, almost disappearing, white head. Faint smell of pale malt. Papery dry fruits in flavour added by tame, malty sweetness. Noticeable alcohol. Foamy in the mouth. Just about drinkable and, in fact, better than expected (Tromsø, 13.02.2010).

Bottled (no BB markings)
Clear golden color, small white head. Nose is all typical Kopparbergs: sweet apple, rubber, malts and low citrusy hoppyness. Fizzy carbonation. Sweetish malty, some apple too. More robust than its lower alcohol versions. Maltyness in the aftertaste. More or less ordinary bulk lager.

500ml can as Original Dark Lager 4.6% ABV, from Kilpishalli in the northern part of Finland (see places). Fawn coloured, eggshell head with rather short duration. Deep, rosewood coloured body. Modest aroma of roasted malts. Roasted chocolate malts in flavour. Tolerably sweet. Foamy in the mouth. Medium bodied. Quite alright, the downside being a slightly metallic touch to the palate and a beer that lacks variation (shared with Eva at home in Tromsø, 14.01.2009).

500ml can picked up at the border shop Kilpishalli in Finnish Lapland. Amber ruby tinged body with shining clarity. Fast fading, beige head. Caramel malts to the nose with a touch of dark fruits. Ditto flavour, but a bit distracted by dry vegetables towards the ending. Medium bodied. Has got some drinkability, though (shared with Eva, Tromsø 13.01.2010).

Biggish beige head. Deep dark red body. Fruity roasty floral meaty aroma. Dryish meaty roasty taste. Sharpish mealy mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dryish meaty papery aftertaste with roasty notes. Harsh bitterness, too. Did they have a yeast accident? In any case, not a success. (0.5l can, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
