cloudy orange, smooth creamy offwhite head. Pretty "belgian" aroma overal, although it’s a biere de Garde. spices, sweetness, slightly herbal, a little too herbal and sweet for my taste, but it could be good, seems to be well balanced and mellow. flavor is caramelly sweet, herbal, kamille (too much), the kamille does not match well with the hoppy bitterness, and the caramelly sweetness makes it cloying. Interesting concept, but I don’t like it. The beer palate and mellowness indicates a high quality beer overall, but it doesn’t taste good. Alc well hidden.

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A hazy, reddish brown beer with a fine-looking dense, beige head. Spices, herbs, candi sugar and caramel on the nose. The flavor is sweet, spiced and with a bitterness I’m not very excited about. Medium to full body, almost sticky sweet, and well carbonated. There’s a herbal bitterness in the finish. A quite nice one, needing the sweetness it has. 091023

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A hazy, amber beer with a small, off-white head. Interesting nose with citrus, herbs and spices, some toffee, and bread. The flavor has a harsh herbal bitterness that I don’t like, but the rest is fine, bread, caramel and fruits. Some bitterness rounds it off. Medium body, dry. Overall, not very good, interesting aroma, but the flavor is definately not top notch. 091023

On tap at Esbjerg Beerfestival. An unclear, orangey golden beer topped by a dense off-white head leaving lacings. Fruity, sweetish nose with a good dash of anise. Fruity, sweet, slightly spiced and berryish flavor with some bitterness. Some bitterness in the finish too, along with sugar and herbs. Medium body and pleasant levels of co2. Not bad, but too much anise-focused, leaving the beer hard to enjoy. 091023

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. A hazy, orange-colored beer topped by a minimal white head. Slightly vegetal nose, mostly pale malts and fruits, with some hops and hints of heather. Vegetables, grains, decent bitterness, nice fruits and some heather in the flavor. Medium body, dry and pleasantly carbonated. Bitter, herbal finish. Well, not bad, but definately not a beer I could session. 091023

Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. An unclear, golden beer with an orange tint. Beige head. There’s a vegetal hint in the aroma, with caramel, spices and white sugar. Caramel and dried fruits in the flavor, some fresh fruits as well. Notes of white sugar, bitterness and a hint of spices blend in. The finish has a nice bitterness, and some orange. Full-bodied, sweet and decently carbonated. An easy drinkable beer with a bit too much sugar. 091023

On tap at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It’s a hazy reddish copper-colored beer with a dense, fingerthick beige head. Spiced nose with cloves and cardamom, some flowers and a bready, caramel-like maltyness. Sweet, caramel flavor with ginger, cloves and cardamom. Medium to full body, nicely carbonated and quite dry. Spiced and quite sweet finish. A decent beer indeed, but too much reminding of a gingerbread. 091023
