Keg at CP&K. It pours almost jet black, with a thin light tan head. The nose is rich coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and cocoa powder. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, burnt toast, spice, toffee, coffee, charcoal and salted caramel, with a bitter finish. Medium body and moderate, slightly prickly carbonation. Flavoursome and well balanced.

Sample @ the Sour & Bitter event in Copenhagen. Had originally placed this rating under another incorrect beer. Pours clear pale golden with a small white head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is rather subtle, tiny sweet and tiny bitter with grapefruit juice, lemon zest, cat piss, grass, crackers and hints of caramel and dill. Taste is sweet and bitter with grass, white bread, pine, wheat crackers, grapefruit juice, lemon zest and orange peal. Mouthfeel is crisp and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with grass, lemon zest, orange peal and hints of pine.

Very sublte red berry fruits well buried. Smooth finish with a coffee aftertaste. Decent stuff - easy drinking and satisfying.

On tap @ Mikkeller bar. A near black one with a small lacing and sidesticking tah head. Aroma is filled with sweet-ish chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, leather and licorice. Light hints of tobacco also. Flavors are packed with chocolate paper. If you ever wonder how chocolate paper taste like, this is damn near the blueprint. Really coffee-strong also, not the dark concentrated - more like normal filtered coffee. It's average carbonated and has a light oily texture. Enjoyable indeed. 13.05.2012

From a growler at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012, thanks to Paul who got it from other guy. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, foamy beige head. Has a huge filter coffee nose that reminds me intensely of Dunkin Donuts coffee. Medium to big sweet flavor with ultra rich coffee, some chocolate syrup. Oh so, so smooth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great finish, medium sweet, moderate roast, cocoa, robust coffee with a mild bitter edge. One of the truest coffee beers I have ever had. Completely drinkable. Wow.
