Lahev s patentním závěrem (Dííík! ): Clear, ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized and slowly collapsing creamy tanned head; robust bitter-sweet nose of toasted malt with traces of dried fruits and a good dash of herbal hops; pretty solid sweet and bitter flavour, creamy to oily MF, surely full bodied; lingering soft sweet-bitter finish performing dark malt, caramel, toasted malt, herbal hops and distinctive vinous traces, some mild alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Klobouk dolů! Vyníkající pivo, well balanced, moreish, ale to musí být Doppelbock...

draught at the brewery restaurant. Brown with a creamy beige head and lovely smoky nose. Medium-bodied, good malty base with hints of caramel and smoke. The smokyness is not overpowering, but works well. This is kind of a milder version of a Franconian smoked/Schlenkerla, but definitely with a pleasant smoky character. Shy earthy hops in the finish. Very good to accompany their pork roast from the ancient Slavonic oven below the ground.

draught at the brewery. Deep ruby-brown colour, creamy off-white to beige head. Lots of roasty aromas. Full-bodied, malty with a pleasant but not overpowering sweetness, roasted malts, caramel, some shy dark chocolate and a lingering finish with earthy hops. Well balanced, smooth and good.

Bottle at a tasting. Smoked cola in aroma, however weird that may sound. In flavour ot gets much worse, being intensely sour, mostly lactic in character, sharp and obtrusive. Only the smokiness manages to cut through a bit. Meh.
