On tap at Craft Baza, pours a cloudy dark orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite grainy and a bit stale, with biscuity malt, straw and cardboard. Doesn't seem the freshest, but it's clean enough. Meh.

On tap at Craft Baza, pours a cloudy orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted grains, vegetal notes and grass. Flavour is along the same lines, with grass, vegetal notes and straw. Very grainy and grassy, and a little vegetal on the finish. Decent.

On tap at Taproom 27, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out earthy roasted malt and light piney hops. Flavour is quite smoky, with smoked whiskey, medium roast, cocoa and piney hops. Love the smokiness on this - almost tastes like a barrel aged Islay beer. I don't get cocoa or walnuts. Despite that, this is great.

Draft at Craft Baza Buiucani. Hazy golden, white head. Some ripe citrus and grass, as well as bread and dough. The taste has sweet fruity almost lollipoppy notes and sharp hoppy bitterness with notes of citrus grass and parsnip. Mediocre.

APR-2018. Got a bit smoother and rounder. Adding 0.1 to the rating...

02-MAR-2018. 1L PET from Tap Room 27. Opaque black, beige head. Pretty complex - black sugars, smoked prunes, brownie cake, earthy spicy nutty balancing astringency with a little bit of red wine booze. Nice. 7-4-7-4-15=3.7.

DRAFT at Craft Baza 2. Hazy golden, fluffy white head. Fresh grass and lemon peel, some bread and biscuit in the background, a bit of dough. Light malty sweetness, some honey and candies, grass, strong dry bitterness. Clean and, light and smooth body. A fine really hoppy pils.

TAP at Craft Baza, handily located near my office. Batch 2. Hazy amber, creamy sticky beige head. Intense and creamy aroma, creamy caramel, some bready malty and mealy undertones, fresh spicy grassy hop. The tastes has good caramel malț, spicy pungent grassy bitterness with a somewhat harsh bitterness. A notch netter than the 1st batch, but the hops are still harsh. 7-4-7-3-13=3,4.

TAP at Craft Baza. Batch 1. Hazy amber, creamy white head. Smells of sweet citrus, ripe grapefruit and some caramel, quite a bit of doughy yeast, a hint of grassy hops. Gentle caramel sweetness with distant citrus pulp, full but yeast drinking mouthfeel, moderate to strong sharp bitterness. Somewhat muted colors, but overall a nice and easy drinking brew. Much better than the previous hoppy ale. 6-4-6-4-13=3,3

TAP at the brewpub. Hazy orange-amber, beige head. Light fruity aroma, a little bit of phenolic spice, yeasty. Not much hops unfortunately. The taste is dry and even a little acrid, light cheesy, light astringency. Again, next to no bitterness.

TAP at the brewpub. Cloudy yellow-golden. Tart fruit, some banana and pineapple, some cloves, a tad muddy yeasty. Same taste, fruity but less spicy, quite prickly, just a tad yeasty/cheesy. Crisp body. Mostly in the weizen ballpark, even if a little muted.

PET growler from the brewery. Cloudy amber, creamy ivory head. Subtle but clean fruity aroma, spicy phenolics, a touch of sweet bread. The taste is vaguely fruity, notes of toasted sweet bread, toasted walnuts, earthy ashy finish with a hint of nutmeg but no actual bitterness. No weizen banana and cloves, no wheat tartness. Quenching, clean, but not really a weizen.
