Can from the Kalea German beer advent calendar. Very very dark ruby colour almost black. Lasting tan head. Smoked ham aroma. Like Brunswick ham. Good mouthfeel. Some bonfire smoke. I rather liked it. Good rauch. Then again I like Brunswick ham.

Bottle directly from the brewery. 7 Euro a bottle. Looks really, really good. This is a barrel aged heller doppelbock. Looks good in the glass, nice small head. Sweetish-alcoholic aroma. Starts intense malty, sweetish, some woody notes. Light alcoholic. Finish milder, soft-malty, notes of some candy. All in all the alcohol is well hidden. Quite drinkable for its strength. Nice one!
