Description
Alpine Beer Company began with Patrick and Valerie McIlhenney in 1999. We are a small-town brewery, nestled in the foothills of the mountains just outside of San Diego. From IPAs to small-batch sours, we’ve been crafting high-quality ales since 1999. Known as the “Home of Pure Hoppiness,” people travel from near and far to try our special brews. Now you can bring home a little taste of hoppiness from Alpine.
In 2014 Alpine Beer Company and Green Flash officially joined forces, allowing for the expansion that Pat had been working on to become an immediate reality.
In December 2021, Alpine Beer Co. was acquried by Atlanta-based SweetWater Brewing Co.

Can picked up from Saveur-Biere webshop Lille, France and consumed at home Friday 5th February 2021, listening to Bicep - Isles and cooking Chicken Tikka Masala with all the accompaniments. Pours warm gold with a white head, reasonable clarity, actually there is a little bit of haze. Pleasant bitterness, simple but decent pale ale. Soft carbonation, light lemony citrus, good, dry finish

12 fl oz can from hopt.it. Pours light amber, fairly transparent, with fine white foam. Aroma is hoppy, piney. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is medium bitter, with good sweetness too. Final is still hoppy, aromatic.

Can picked up from Saveur-Biere webshop, Lille, France consumed at home Friday 22nd January 2021 listening to Iggy Confidential on 6Music. We had Thai Green Curry and Loz made Spring Roll. Pours gold with a white head. Resinous and citrussy on the nose, in the mouth these two play out again in a good steady bitter and jolly pleasant beer.

Can picked up from Saveur-Biere, webshop, Lille, France and consumed at home Friday 15th January 2021 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music about to start cooking Lamb Keema Saag Balti, from the Curry Guy cookbook, with Dal Makhani from Made in India cookbook. Pours hazy, mmhh... actually a murky, milky yellow/gold with a large creamy textured white coloured head. Very soft mouthfeel, dry, almost Indian Tonic touch, however the sweetness rather rules out that quite swiftly, this is good in fact very good for not being the usual bombastic in yer'face Nelson hit, it's really nice, dry, some grapefruit, hoppiness zips across the tongue. Really good.

3 bucks for this red & white can. Typical mild hopped pale ale beery nose, no BO for a change. Look, I don't like IPA and a can of IPA that foams all over my table and floor, really pist me off. Also, the taste is quite nasty, really. Its astringent as all hell; and has all of the nasty straight up ass characteristics of a bullshiter IPA. Yes, terribly on style, IPA that is. Its bitterness is not as well behaved and as tricky as better IPA, and, because of that bitter background, you know.......a little piercing astringent bite. The look of this beer is rather different, it looks like a higher gravity clear light okra orangish brown barley wine, or did I say it reminds me of a bear's ass whine? I guess its beer, but I'm not impressed. Do not worry, my say has been canceled anyway and that stupid donkey's backside astringent bite follows me all the way too dah-the finish.
