A hazy orange beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and strawberries. The flavor is sweet malty too, but with notes of strawberries and butter.

Sampled draught at Ardbeg Room, Stockholm.
Dark copper colour, rich stable head. Lightly peaty and fairly dry, Quite light bodied, but with firm, soft maltiness. Lightly salty. Hay-like hops linger in a finish with with balanced bitterness.

Sampled cask conditioned at Oliver Twist, Stockholm.
Dark black with beige head. Rich aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. Medium dry and light bodied, but still firm and soft. Superbly balanced with a flowery bitter finish. Very fresh and sensationally good. I can only hope this is not a once of brew.

Re-rate bottled. My first sighting of any bottled beer from this brewery in many years. The old brewmaster who created their beers are now working for Nils Oscar, I believe, and it seems that his presence is dearly missed. It purs dark ruby, but rich chocoalate int it"s nose has dwindled to only a hint, covered in generous amounts of vinegar. It is still reasonably malted, but it"s roastiness has been replaced by a sour tone, and the bitterness in the finish by winegum flavour. I can"t even sense the hops anymore. Still it has some sort of a charm.
Old rating from around 1998: Dark brown. Chocoaltey nose. Above medium body, slightly roasty, rather bitter finish. A tasty, well balanced seasonal ale. I wish it was easier to find 7/3/6/4/14.

A light coloured lager from this new westcoast micro with smallish head. Interesting beer. Not very bitter, but still fairly hoppy and complex. Like a Czechish style pilsner.
