Can 35,5 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a tiny, off-white head. Tart aroma, perhaps not lemony as such. Light body, tart lemon and lime notes with a mouthdrying dry finish. No, it doesn't taste like a Radler. At all. 050925

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brown with a slight tan ring. Aroma of milky coffee. Med plus body. Not dry. Flavor of milky coffee and brown sugar. Malt is rather obscured. A herbal note comes with time.

This is what you get when you add adjuncts to a wonderful base beer, and keep them dialed in. The reason why many of us started rating adjunct loaded beers very high in the first place. It was about a solid base more than the fancy junk. The fancy junk here involves coffee, light chile and cacao. Plenty of roast. Black pour with great mocha head. Bitter end. Great body, solid beer. Big tall can.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy golden, small head, Aroma of (non-alcoholic) ginger beer. Sweet and sour with light to medium body and clean, syrupy mouthfeel. Syrup and lemon juice, no sign of malt not fermentation. Mostly sticky.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy deep golden, mid sized head. Aroma of apricot and lychee. Quite sweet with above medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Doughy, fruity malt. Apricot and pine. Lightly bitter finish.

Pint at the DEN bar. Pours black, with a small, foamy, tan head. The aroma is heavy roast coffee, maple, vanilla, coriander, and light soy. Sweet and heavily roasty, with a mellow, earthy bitterness. Heavy, sticky, and grainy. Nice and aggressive. Pretty solid.

0.355l can from Beer Republic. Aroma of strawberry bubblegum, flowers, vegetables and cereals. Pours hazy orange amber color with large soapy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart fruity and vegetably, following is grassy and tannic, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. I kinda’ don’t like rhubarb rhubbing my tongue…

Draft 13 oz pour enjoyed at Elliott Bay Pizza. Really surprised I never ended up taking notes on this absolute gem that has frequented the specialty shops of my local for over a decade. I've really loved this series since I visited the brewery in 2013, but with the series as a side note, this base beer is damn near perfect. To paraphrase what mcberko stated, this might be the best no adjunct, no barrel imperial stout out there. What beats it? Huge roast, bold and bitter coffee notes, burnt caramel like character, long lingering charred toast. Dry cocoa nose, some toast. Love the level of bitterness this stout offers. Love that it's hot, but not boozy or overly aggressive. Flavor hangs on the palate forever. Imperial stout dialed in, with no need to change. Keep adding to this series please! But don't ever stop making this original, badass plain Yeti.

Backlog March 2008. Bottle. Unclear golden body under a medium sized white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy with esters. Taste is sweet, and feels a bit perfumed, some bitterness. Fine body and decent aftertaste. Easy drinkable but not particular interesting.

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, spicy nose with dark bread, coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, raisins and liquorice. Malty, roasted, sweetish taste with notes of dark bread, coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, black pepper, raisins, liquorice and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, sweet. Rich and tasty. Should be perfect by the fire on an autumn eve (and seems to work fine on a warm summer evening as well). Very nice.
