Though retired, here are my notes on this one.
It was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a cloudy golden yellow color with a transparency that allowed some carbonation to be seen rising. There was a one finger white foamy and bubbly head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell had some honey with a cardboard aroma.
The taste was sweet and grainy with a light corn flavoring.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionability if I could look past the cardboard aroma.
Overall, I didn’t really care for the smell or taste as it really doesn’t do much for me. Probably be best if this stayed retired.

Bottle @ Doodler. Thanks to Scott and Troy! Milky/cloudy pink appearance when a thin head. Bright tart cherries, fairly funky, somewhat spicy aroma. Moderately high tartness. Super juicy. Herbal / grassy / wild cherry flavor. Awesome.

Forgetfu Tasting at ChrisOs. Cheers to Forgetfu Bill. Very hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crispy and dry. Mild tart fruits, trace of lemon, little gooseberry. Seltzer. Light dry finish. Dry Gooseberry lingers on.

Bottle big thanks to Bill. It pours hazy gold with a medium white head. The nose is sweet, woody, vanilla, barnyard, gooseberry, some acidity and sweet lemon. The taste is crisp, tart, acidic, gooseberry, lemon sherbet, lemon juice, white grape and big mouth-pucker with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Tart and pretty acidic. Rather nice stuff anyhow.

Bottle split at Chriso tasting, 10/07/14. Murky pineapple juice yellow/orange with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is mineral notes, gooseberry, pavement drying on a hot day after a rain storm, green berry fruit tang, citric shavings, dank wood, herbal. Taste comprises light must, acidic pangs, tarte grape skins, lemon rind, mineral wash, tarte gooseberries. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation with tangy green berry fruit notes in the close. Solid fruit lambic, semi puckering affair.

Bottle shared in London. Pours hazy yellow with a creamy white head. Lots of rich, ripe, tart lemon in the nose, some grass, some pear, salt. Light sweet flavor with strong citric bite, slight funk, high acidity, sweat. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Well and sour to finish with loads of lemon bite, tongue-blistering citric acidity, mild grassy bitterness, some funky sweat, lots of salt. Solid. Refreshingly biting.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a hazy yellow orange appearance with a white head. Tangy green apple / cucumber, dirty, boozy aroma. Some green veggie (celery, cucumber) and green fruit (apple) offered in the flavor (yum a dum dum). Light tartness. Not overly sweet. Messy, dirty, filthy, and not fun to drink.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a murky brown appearance with a light brown head. The aroma had a lot of notes from the barrels - coconut, stringy oak, vanilla, and some whiskey - along with a pronounced nuttiness. The flavor was strange - tangy with some acetic acid, whiskey, caramel, and nougat. Moderately sweet. Low bitterness. Not overly harsh finish. The flavor just wasn’t all that good and I question if the sourness was even on purpose.

On tap @ Boulder Strong Ale Fest 2014. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance. Aroma had a touch of citrus but mostly a bunch of dough, cracker, and biscuit. Kind of a chewy / doughy malty flavor. Booze is a bit strong. Bready. Not a big fan.

GABF 2013. Pours a hazy dark orangish brown appearance with a light brown head. Fairly toasted malty, caramel, lightly smoky, a touch fruity aroma which was not bad but the flavor was a bit twangy with even more fruits. I enjoyed AC Golden’s IPL a fair bit, but many of other attempts at German style beers have all tasted a bit off to me.
