Pours hazy gold into a tumbler. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Bit O-Honey aromas. Thick with sweet honey and coriander upfront turning to dry wheat in the lasting finish.

Bottle - lightly hazy gold - fair lacing - nose is initially lightly tart/acidic, but fairly sweet apple and honey emerge quickly, along with moderate coriander and some earthy wheat - moderate to low carbonation - like the nose, the flavor is initially lightly tart/acidic up front, but it is gentle and not distinctly lacto in nature (just sort of an innocuous and one-dimensional tartness - after that, though, there is a moderate sweetness and flavors of apple, sweet orange flesh - wheat arrives late, along with a mild savor hint of salt - seems like the blend is heavy on the "regular" wheat beer - there might be promise in the soured beer, but I’d like to see it figure more heavily into the blend - overall, though, it is fairly refreshing enjoyable enough.

Bottle offered @ gmellison. Got this bad boy in a trades with Adam. Thanks! Clear orangish brown appearance with a thin khaki head. Fair amount of roast and caramel notes in the nose. A bit of dust and burnt sugar / molasses as well. Woody, nutty, herbal flavor. Low sweetness, surprisingly. Slight chocolate and roast in the flavor as well. Kind of strange and not my cup of tea but not horrible.

Blind tasting @ home. Milky light yellow appearance with a thin white head. Kind of spicy / herbal / yeasty nose. Tart orange / citrus fruits. Some floral elements as well with some coriander. Dull carbonation. Tart tropical / citrus fruit (orange / lemon / guava). Bready / yeasty / wheat flavor. Low bitterness and low sweetness. A bit twangy / tart / lactic finish. Definitely get the salt on the finish. Kind of neat.

12 oz bottle purchased at MDL on Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a slight haze golden yellow with a one inch white head. The aroma is husky wheat grain, lemon tart citrus and sea salt. The taste is the wheat character, lemon citrus, grass coriander and a bit of salt in the finish. Tasty stuff. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation and the lightly tart clean finish. Really nice use of lacto in a lower ABV wheat beer.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home prior to heading up north to play a show. Appearance is a nice pitch black with a thin white rim. Aroma of oats and honey, little bit of chocolate malt, slight bit of molasses, has a nice tea like aroma. Taste is great, nicely balanced between chocolate malt and honey with a faint touch of molasses. Very enjoyable ale for a Saturday afternoon.
