[33cl bottle] Clear, pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Moderately sweet nutty and almost almond-like malty nose with a slightly smoky touch. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Malt-accented nutty taste with a medium-dry, slightly smoky finish. Not a real highlight but at least interesting and likeable [29.X.08].

Bottle, 5.0%. Clear golden colour, seems a little green. The flavour is a lot like many other lagers, grassy and slightly bitter. The bitterness is OK clean as is the beer itself.

Bottle, 5.0%. Weak vinous aroma. The flavour is slightly sweet with a hint of butter and sweet, spicy hop. Fruit aftertaste, like sweet apple or something.

Dark brown with red glimts and a wonderfull huge dark beige head. Stuuning appearance. Sweet aroma with loads of roasted malt, coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Sweet flavour with loads of burned malt, coffee, chocolate and liqeurice. Absolutely lovely schwarzbeer. But I would call it a stout.

bottle, brought to me by my parents - Dankeschön! Clear deep dark black colour, dense and creamy brownish-beige head. Looks like oil floating into my glass. Deliciously malty nose. Full-bodied, flavours of malt, roasetd malt, coffee, dark chocolate and cocoa powder, combined with a shy fruityness of dark dried fruits, raisins, prunes... Lingering finish with a shy touch of aromatic hops. Perfectly balanced, a delicious brew.

11.2oz bottle picked up in Wisconsin. Classic European Pilsener taste, crisp and clean. Quite healthy carbonation, bubbles like a soda. Sweet malty brewery aroma. Delicate balance. Straightforward stuff, but done quite well. Very enjoyable beer, worth stocking up on if you are in Switzerland.
