This beer is a lightly hazed dark golden color with a minimal white head and little lacing of which to speak. Sweet malt in the nose coupled with corn. Light bodied with a floral character and sweet malt flavor. Touches of fresh fruit here and there as well. The finish is mildly hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Overall the beer is average and not very unique.

This beer is a light golden color with a thin and fizzy white head that disappears rather fast. Minimal coating of lacing on the glass. The aroma is musty hops and some nuts. Light-bodied and a little skunky, with hoppy and nutty flavors. The finish is sweet malt with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Aside from the Heineken-ish aspects this beer is alright.

Bottle 0,33l. Pale golden. An OK white head. Hoppy aroma. Unclear. A lager without distinction.

Okay, the Locher website has this as a different product than the other Quollfrisch (that one’s designated "hefetrub," or unfiltered), but I may be wrong. I entered the UPC code when creating this listing, so I’ll find out. But this is my second new country with a skunked Heienken clone in a green bottle. Big skunky odor when opened. Pours standard Heinie color with a soda pop head. Taste remains skuny for a while, unlike last night’s Phuket. Not much else to recommend it. Seems to be at least all-grain, with supporting German hops. It does improve further down, but otherwise not much better than any common pale lager. Got this 33 cl bottle for a buck from the "loose" rack at Sam;s, Downers Grove.

Bottle: Poured a yellow color lager with a bit thick foamy white head. Aroma of floral malt is quite evident. Taste is a bit more accentuated then your standard macro lager with a lingering hops bitter finish. Floral aspect is quite enjoyable and body is fuller then expected. It is still in no way a great lager but still a notch above your standards.

A hazy amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is primarily of alcohol, but is also spicy and has notes of oranges. The flavor is very sweet with a dry alcoholic end, where the alcohol burns a little. Somehow the body is thin - weird for such a strong beer.

(Bottle 29 cl) The German-speaking part of Central Europe has this odd tradition about "Full Moon beers". Beer brewed during full moon should have certain extra qualities, but don’t ask me which. I’m sad to say I didn’t really feel any extraordinary kick having this. Very yellow, creamy head. Very soft with a mild bitterness. Pleasant. 130702

Gold color; nice perlage. Sweet aroma: malt, honey, vanilla (light). Ordinary taste, quite malty and somehow sweet, with a reasonable final. Simple but pleasant.
