Ubiquitous appearance, pale yellow with no head. Very little if any aroma. Decent creamy carbonation on the palate. Hay, grass and some farmy notes. Very little if any bitterness. No alky character either, quite odd for an ice beer, considering this is over 5%. Finish is intriguing, yet very much like many of the lighter rivertown brews.

Pitch black and no head. Barely any aroma but some hints of roastiness. On the palate there is an odd and unique ruddy oatmeal flavor. Mild and lacks bitterness but is leathery at times. Good example of a dark brew, unoffensive an friendly. Carbonation is not noticeable. Above average sweet stout. Finish is not bitter, just plain good dark beer reprise.

Sweeter, with some indications of higher alky content in the olfactory. Reddish orange in color and fairly clear. Tea froth head, if you want to call it a head. Rather strong on the palate, even more so than their springfest dubbel which is 8%. Barely any carbonation. Bitter medicinal finish that hangs.

Clear orange with a tinge of red. Barely any aroma but at times I detect volatile hydrocarbons, in a good way of course. Fairly strong initial alky impact but not like the 8+% listed here. Much more than your father’s Oktoberfest. Finish? Has a hint of ’fest but mostly it’s noticeably medicinal and alky.

Cloudy and somewhat hazy reddish brown in color. Hardly any aroma but what is present is hint of luscious blueberry. Some fruit flavor, but not over the top. Certainly not sweet but you can tell there is fruit in there. Hay and grassy at times. Friendly yet not offensive. Unbitter finish.

Good clean beer aroma. Orangish color and clear, no haze. Mild palate, just a bit of bitterness, I expected more considering the description on the menu. Barely any carbonation. Less hops than other steam beer I’ve had. Finish is mildly bitter but not over the top but it does last for quite a while.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne North Huntingdon location this beer poured a light amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was faint sweet fruity hops. The flavor was light sweet fruity hops with very little malt base underneath. Pleasant but a bit bland really.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a very dark brown color with a small khaki head. The aroma was light sweet malts and a hint of honey. The flavor was sweet and malty with a strong honey element and a long malty honey finish.

Typical beery smells. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager appearance but with a creamy head. Barely any carbonation. Decent entry for the ESB crowd. Small amount of lingering bitterness on the finish.

Finally got to try this one. Can’t smell the fruit or blackberries but if you search you will find some fruit. Cloudy yellow brown. Barely any carbonation. Tart without being sour or sweet. Finish is not in your face and the blackberry is barely there. An OK fruit beer.
