Description
Since 1999, the Uberach brewery has been reviving the brewing past of the Val de Moder by creating specialty beers in an artisanal way. Fruits of the sun and the wonders of the Alsatian terroir, the tasting beers offered by the brewery combine quality and originality. Uberach brewers put all their passion, imagination and imagination into each of their creations, to make each tasting a celebration

Mixed with water from the Northern Vosges, malts, hops and yeasts are embellished with various spices and flavors, from honey to ginger, woodruff to raspberries. The top fermentation process and the refermentation in the bottle allow Uberach beers, unfiltered and unpasteurized, to fully express their aromas and flavors.

Nutty brown color, tiny, beige head. A bit cellary, dark caramel, malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, a bit bready too, maltyness. No faults, but quite uninteresting "porter".

Hazy amber-yellow color, small white head. Orange, caramel aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, honey. Clean with low bitterness. Ok.

Amber color, tiny head. A bit earthy, caramel, even candyish nose. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, metallic, low bitterness. Sweetish. Meh.

Deep amber color, small off-white head. Light grass, caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel, grass, cardboard, some alcohol. Uninspiring but ok.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Very hazy amber, small bubbles. Nose is same murky spoiled fish guts yeast as with all 3 beers that I tried from these guys, sugar, yeast, excessive in its nasty yeast… Taste is extreme fish guts, yeast, sugar, hay, rotting banana, more white sugar, rotting hay, this one also has some coriander, weird mineral side,… yeasty body,… Simple & not particularly enjoyable. Too much of that bloody yeast,… My notes aver close to their Blond & Ambrée, the yeast dominates just so much.

Too much of that bloody yeast,… My notes aver close to their Blond, this one is even murkier.

Too much of that bloody yeast plus also sugar & lots of banana,…

Bottled@Björntasting. Hazy brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nutty and mildly ashy notes with some malts to it as well. Flavour is crisp malts, some toasted and ashy notes along with some nutty and wooden notes. A bit strange, but in a good way.

Bottled@Björntasting. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, earthy and some mild floral and toffeeish notes. Flavour is mildly spicy, some fruity, mild floral and wooden notes to it. Quite sweet and also has a bunch of spices and some alcohol in the finish.

Bottled@Björntasting. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, some floral and wooden notes as well as mild nutty notes. Flavour is quite similar, but has some quite similar metallic notes as the Doigt de Dieu had.
