OK, I don't get these same versions of the same thing. Its all IPA and they all pretty much taste the same; bitter bastard bitter. Smells like sweet pine tree. Big bitter ass straight up bitter form the start. Rototiller across my taste buds with a slight warming sensation down the gullet. Not sure what to think about this bitter ass style; never liked it, never will. I was told back in 2006 that my taste buds would mature someday and I would grow to like IPA, NEVER! In the middle its bitter and it finishes with a mostly bitter chewing on green grapefruit rinds with a follow up of pine cone tar.

To say this can of stuff is a red ale, not sure. The only thing that makes it red is the color, no other attributes of a finer red ale, dude. Yep, when I first pop the lid, do I get the nose with a low to moderate malt aroma? Which is often caramel centered, but maybe a display of toasty or toffee-like notes? Heck no. This is some kind of pastry, you know, the next best style since sliced bread? Come now, don't insult me by styling this as a red ale LOL! It is sweet, and nearly cloying, nothing like a red ale that I'm knowing. Even impy, its way out of its style dude. Strong, almost irritating alky content like some Lactose, Vanilla, and Cinnamon? A dessert-like brew dreamt up Dylan baby! OK it may be a cool ass beer, but its not a red, except that is for the brownish red slightly hazy appearance. There you have it. Mouthcoating sticky finish.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Rhinegeist now available in Michigan. Pours a cloudy, orange gold with a finger of off-white head that lingers. Crushed pineapple, orange sherbet, honeydew melon and coconut aromas. More of the same on the palate, but more muted with with some pithy bitterness present.

Caramel color with a large foamy head. Tangy and tart, vaguely fruity with a black tea note. Long finish. Medium body.

From a 2$ can. Pour is pale with a slight haze. Has a decent level of co2 on the uptake. Yeah, can taste the honey and its not overwhelming. Sweet but yet not cloying. The honey must have been added after pasteurization, its not fermented out. Decent and different cider for a change. No sign of any rude cider characteristics. Not bad overall. Don't smell any honey on the nose. Overall well balanced cider tasting experience.

Ooo new riff BA, real nice boozy bourbon upfront, chocolatey flavor packed finish. Reminds me a lot of the rye BA but probably means I dig new riff BA a lot, just shame it's hard to find in Texas. It's got a light mouthfeel but heavy flavor, I dig it.

12 ounce can from Niemuth’s, 1/16/22. Murky orange, large frothy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of pineapple, tangerine. Taste is pineapple, melon, tropical fruit, faint hint of lime and dandelion. Juicy, low bitterness. Solid.

Lots of grapefruit here. Golden pour with huge head and lacing. Bitter ass finish. Soft carbonation. A touch of booze. Nice balance and body. Tap at Shelter.
