Plastic bottle 3l at TCrapFestival, Tallinn. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain and malts. Not so bas as expected.

Almost clear deepest ruby, rich beige head. The aroma is dark sugars, prunes, barely perceivable winey / pomace notes, some oaky spice. The taste has the dark malts, as well as dark fruit, in beautiful balance, where the sugars are providing enough body and richness and then step back to keep the beer mature and respectful. Old funky dried fruit, oaky spice, well dialed in spicy hops - a pretty fine doppelbock profile, I have to say. Big, yet easy drinking, smooth, clean and free of the brewer's signature flaws. Really good.

Cloudy amber, off-white head. The aroma is not too bold - vague doughy malts, grassy hops with a note of licorice, some dull fruit. The taste is medium low crystal malts, caramel and fruit, with a vague trace of citrus, medium sharp resiny bitterness. Not bad but feels kinda mundane and washed out in terms of malts and especially hops, and too sharp on bitterness.

Cloudy pale yellow, white head. Strong sweet herbal aroma - honey, aniseed, licorice, cough drops. The taste is moderate pale malt / honey sweet, aniseed and licorice, dry herbal lingering bitterness. Soft chewy body (at least this cloudy). Not much yeast-induced spice/funk - far from being a saison - and a bit over the board flavoured. Otherwise quite solid - soft and smooth, good malt / hop / bitterness balance.

On tap @Smokehouse in Chisinau-Moldova. Pale golden clear with a white foam. Nose: basic lager aroma going sweet almond. Mouth: over carbonated, very unbalanced, a bit off.
