Aromas of tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, raspberry, lemon, lime, pear, green apple, melon, white wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin/pits, raspberry, lemon, lime, pear, green apple, melon, white wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is a very nice fruited sour/wild ale. All around nice omplexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, cherries, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish, not overly lactic. I was hoping for it to be more jammy on the cherries, but still quite impressive. Well rounded Brett/lacto complexity, balanced cherries, and a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
