(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Vintage 2006. Slightly hazy, reddish, dark, orangey brown with a beige head. Fat aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Full-bodied, sweetish, burned caramel flavours and very fruity accents - overripe fruit also. Lightly hoppy finish. Lovely. 270907

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Degarth. Slightly hazy, dark amber golden with a decent, creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Sweetish aroma of burned caramel. Medium body again with sweet flavours of burned caramel and a touch of overripe fruit. Short, dry finish. 270907

Bottle. Poured golden red with foamy white head. Slight hoppy aroma with floral graces. Hoppy flavour with floral and honey notes. Linfering hoppy finish all over the tongue. This is another ale I would call a Cape ale. It’s hoppier and more bitter than a pale or amber, but not as hoppy as an India. A very worthy effort, worth seeking out.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Roast malt aroma. Full body, malty with notes of chocolate, toffee, coffee and carame. Lekker malty finish. This goes on my must have again list.

Yeasty with a slight hop aroma. Citrus grapefruit rind taste impact. Slight haze in an otherwise ubiquitous pale yellow appearing brew. Decent carbonation. Finish is not quite IPA but it is certainly irritating.

Bottle. Poured almost black with medium frothy tan head. Malty aroma. Bitter coffee and sweet malt (mostly) flavour. Medium body and mouth feel. malty finish with a bit of smoke. A good porter.

bottle - Pours hazy yellow with some yeast floaters and a thin white head. It has a very mild aroma. I was mostly getting light malt. The flavor is also light and fairly sweet with some mild hops character. It’s low on the hops for an American pale. Quite drinkable, but unimpressive.

Bottle. Poured orange amber with thick off white head. Much lacing. Hoppy aroma, Full hop flavour, yet subtle, not overpoweringly hoppy like many DIPAs. Subtle finish, that seems bland then springs on you. I’d definitely drink this again.
