(On tap) Clear, dark orangey brown with a dense, creamy, beige - almost cappuchinoish - head leaving a broad curtain of lacework. Roasted, almost coffeeish aroma. Medium body with lots of roasted malt accents. An underlying sweetness yet generally dry. Lovely. 081106

Bottle. Clear dark brown color with a nice head. Aroma is malt, caramel, hay and hops. Flavour is also caramel, sweet malt, with a nice bitter (hoppy finish).

Bottle. Dark gold color with a slight off-white head. The aroma is nice sweet smoke, subtle smoked meats to the fore. Taste is also nice smoked malts. Lovely character.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, blanket head. Apricot, minerally yeast, some heavy esters, banana, vanilla. Feels light and foamy on the palate. Minerally banana aftertaste. Deceptively easy and refreshing to drink.

Bottle. Golden dark amber, creamy golden head. Nice roasted chestnut, and chocolate aromanotes with a nice herbal hop counter. Strong chocolate and roast flavor, medium to light honeyish malt, wooden aftertaste. Fairly nice actually.

Bottle: Big fluffy, quite stable white head,straw golden, sweet aromatic floral hoppy nose with a touch of barnyard; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, soft MF, sweet-bitter finish. O.K...gets better, when it isn’t too cold !

Flip-top bottle: Big rocky white head, sticking to the glass, pale golden coloured; dense sweet-malty, slightly worty aroma with a big sweet-aromatic floral hoppy nose; robust sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; robust sweet, almost caramelly, and hoppy finish. Superb franconian brew, could be almost a Bohemian Pilsener.........

(swing top bottle, with thanks to pivnizub) Clear copper colour with big fluffy off-white foamy head. Sweet, toast-malty and nutty aroma. Sweet flavour. Strong and aromatic malty taste, toasty, slightly roasted with caramel on a herbal hoppy background; medium bodied, almost smooth carbonation; medium-dry; malty finish with bittering hops. Well-rounded Bock.

Bottle: Cloudy (with some clumps of yeast), orangey coloured, very firm, creamy white head; dense sweetish citrus-fruity nose with bananas and restrained cloves on the backseat...; sweetish, slightly sourish flavour, medium bodied; wheat-malty-sweetish-fruity(bananas) finish, a bit warming..and a little tartness in the aftertaste. Pleasant stuff !
