This was seriously due for a rerate. I previously wrote that it was my favorite choice on a hot day (2.9 rating). While I can think of any number of flavorful beers that are a better choice, I have to say that I enjoyed drinking from these stubbies while grilling twice over the weekend: neutral yet some flavor and nearly medium bodied. I also sat down with one and a thistle glass to give it better attention. Poured a yellowish straw, very bubbly in the glass, lots of big bubbles, small head though, no retention. Aroma weak, with a touch of hop and rice. Slightly sweet up front, vaguely bready and ricey. Medium bodied. Finish only hints at hops. Some sourish qualities (green olive) that reminded me very much of MGD.

This Jamaican stout is very strong (alcohol) and very sweet. My first impression was almost like it was vodka. It mellows as you drink it, but remains hard to finish.
