Bottle at home, 22nd October 16 and Tap at La Fine Mousse, 18th October 16. Pours a black beer, with a big throthy off white head that grows. Aroma is grapefruit, cocoa, smoke. Taste is bitter ashy, citrus, smoke, tabacco, some berries, dark chocolate, bitter smoky linger. Another very good BIPA from France.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks mom for this bottle! Hazy yellow with a big white head. Nice fruity hops aroma, citric and tropical, with some what. Flavor has light sweetness, wheat, graininess, a bit of bread, and nice bitterish fruity hops. Light to medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Nice and refreshing.

On tap at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 6/9/2016. Slightly hazy gold with a decent, white, head. Big, tropical fruit and tangerine notes, with a hint of pine and some grassy hops. Flavour was similar on the fruitiness, with crsp malts and a lingering, dry, finish. Very good.

At a tasting, thanks, small creamy head. cloudy quite deep orange color, shrubby fruity aroma with hints of onion, shrubby flavor with some onion, strong shrubby bitterness. Nice but nothing too exciting.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Daniel. Almost clear brown beer, thin pale tan head. Soft palate. Mildly earth dark malts with modest dark chocolate. Some tangy fruits and a little insipid vanilla. Light dry finish. Okay.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks mom & dad for this bottle! Cloudy golden. Aroma of fruity and piney hops, a bit stale, a bit of marmalade, some malt, and a light alcohol note. Flavor has sweetish malt, and bitter fruity hops, slightly stale. Medium-bodied.

Bottle at level 42, thanks to Dan. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, toasted malt, sticky, malt loaf, fruit cake, date and a touch of coffee. The taste is smooth, sticky, malt loaf, sugared plum, earthy roast, wood, cocoa and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit lacklustre overall. Fair.

Bottle shared on Level 42 15/08/2016. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. A clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a loose tan head. Aroma is is jammy raspberry ripple, choc, woody, choc. Flavour is composed spicy, woody, cinnamon, cedar woody, cinnamon. Christmas spicy. Plate is dry, semi sweet, moderate carbonation, grainy. Ok.
