Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hopppy and light yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter fnish. Oily palate.

Ein Mitbringsel eines Freundes von einem Ausflug nach Sopron aus dem sortigen SPAR-Supermarkt. Frisch gekühlt aus dem Kühlschrank im Pokalglas schmeckte es erst einmal grausam alkoholisch. Erst als es sich Zimmertemperatur annäherte, entwickelte es ausgefeilte Aromen, die man von diesem Bierstil kennt. Es kommen Gewürznoten und einige Trockenfrüchte durch, aber der schwere Alkohol hängt wie ein Schatten über allem. Angeblich eine Klosterbrauerei seit 998, was man aber natürlich schwer nachkontrollieren kann. Es hat seine Vorzüge, aber wirklich begeistern kann man es nicht.

Bottle. Not bad, but missing bit of maturity in here. It certainly does not reach the depth of Belgian ones, but still it's rather pleasant drinking. Fine

Das ungarische Wort Főapátság wird mir mit Erzabtei übersetzt, was gut zu den belgischen Abteibieren passt, die man hier in Westungarn braut. Es ist recht leicht und einfach gestrickt, hat aber einen netten hefig-getriedigen Ton, der es sehr angenehm samtig und freundlich am Gaumen entlanggleitet. Es ist jetzt kein außergewöhnliches Bier, aber ich finde durchaus fein zu trinken.

Bottle from Lidl. Hungarian brewery no.27 Pours headless reddish. Yeasty and bit metallic on nose. Tastes sweetish, yeasty, light metallic feel, sharp carbonation. Feels bit empty.
